You can't walk down the main aisle without some annoying, in-your-face, outside sales guy wanting to know whether I have satellite or cable. "None of your f*ing business".

The company doesn't care if you're inconvenienced by these obnoxious salesmen. I dont go to SAMs for my cable needs but if I did, it wouldn't take place standing next to the fabric softener. They also only take MasterCard. Who takes MasterCard and NOT take Visa?

Yet they will take a Visa debit card. I will shop Costco from here on out. They actually respect their customers. SAMs has become as awful as Walmart.

Way to take a decent concept and throw it down the drain.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Location: Arlington, Texas

Two years ago I would have agreed that it's easy to say no, but things have changed at Sam's. They don't care if you say no any more.

They pester and make light of it while still trying to sell. On the way in for cell phones and electricity plans. On the way out for remodeling and electricity plans. It's crazy.

We also have a Costco account. The 3rd party vendors at Costco don't keep after you when you say no.

We spoke with the remodeling guys a few months back and bought some Really Nice Gutters and got 10% OFF. Whats wrong with that?

The store is more annoying almost every time I go. I feel as though I am running a gauntlet, and look for paths to avoid the annoying sales people barking at you as though you were traveling through a midway at the fair.

Then, to put frosting on the cake, a cashier to end your shopping experience by asking me if I'm sure I don't want to save $36. The second time she asked me, I had to tell her to please quit hassling me. Oh, I almost forgot.

Then, I got to wait for the moron at the door to count my items after I waited for 5 more carts ahead of me to escape. Anymore as I get older, I have to weigh whether what I am paying them to "save" money, is worth my blood pressure peaking out for the few sales that are worthy of the torture involved.

they treat their customers like they are fishing with a funnel fish trap, it's real easy to enter store, but hard to get out of! there are many check out counters, but only a few are open, after waiting in line to pay, customers then have to wait to have their purchases checked at the exit. I also find it annoying that out side venders, are allowed in to badger Sam's Club members, I wish Arkansas also had Costco stores, I would drop Sam's in a heartbeat!

You people are terribly rude to these individuals. If you are not interested just say it and move forward.

What you don't understand about these sales reps is that they understand that 95% of people are not interested. The reason they talk to everyone is because by doing so they will find customers who need the help and who need to save money. They are just trying to help people and get rewarded for it and if you ask most people who sign up in the retailer they normally save thousands. My son is in this business and he is very kind and helpful to his customers.

FYI Cotsco has the same reps in their stores. As a matter of fact every big box retailer has these reps in them. Now obviously if they weren't helping people they wouldn't be in every major retailer in the country. No one is trying to harass you just say no thank you and continue your shopping, you people act like children.

And another note, you might consider them low life's but all they have to do is sign up one customer a day and they make around $800 a week.

Now as a market manager which my son is, he profits $2,000 plus every week and never has customer complaints. So next time you are rude to one of these sales reps, just remember they probably make more money than you and that they will continue to seek customers who appreciate their presense.

I pay $100 a year to shop here. I am sick of being accosted by these salespeople.

Maybe Sam's Club should give me a partial refund of my club fee every time I have to listen to one of these people? Because Sam's Club is probably making money off of them being there, right?

I am going to make a big sign to hang on my cart that says "NO SOLICITING". Set your table up and if I'm interested I will approach you!

Totally agree

Sam's Club allows DirecTv, who has a contract with Smart Circle, who in turns hire out independent offices under them, to place contractors in their stores. These young people work for 100% commission, so they are desperate to make sales.

They are also found in Home Depot and few other places.

Ignore them. I feel sorry for them, but they are really annoying.

Costco only accepts AMEX so good luck with that.
