went to Sam's club in south Gate yesterday wanting to return a shirt, had my receipt my membership card & credit card used to make the purchase. there was a return line & a membership line.

well the idiots working those desks were taking customer from both lines rather than having one line for returns & one for membership. of course, the line for membership was holding up both lines, it seemed to be that every customer had a complicated situation because there were about three employees on the phone helping those customer & the line for people trying to return was not moving. I was in the return line for literally 45 minutes. the actual transaction was probably about three minutes.

I called a manager so that he can come & maybe have his employees re-direct the lines to at least clear the return line & it took a while. that area is supposed to be customer service & the employees do not even give you eye contact, they did not greet or apologize for the delay. every employee needs training in that particular store. but, I have been to the Sam's Club in Torrance & in the Long Beach town center & that is a different story.

everything runs very smooth at those locations. maybe South Gate should learn some tips from the other stores or maybe management needs from other locations can come & train at South Gate.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: please get some proper training.

Please hire ENGLISH speaking employees at the Timonium MD. location.

I can't decipher ebonics. Last visit I was attempting to purchase approx. $1k of cigarettes; gave up and left in defeat after standing at the tobacco cage waiting for the employee with the cage key, (after being paged 2x), for 23 minutes. The explanation I received?

An enormous woman said "Dat LaQueesha beez on dat break, you beez needinz ta wait".

Really?

I've got a better idea, it's called HEY SAMS CLUB, BUH-BYE. Ghetto operation.
