I ordered, on-line a set of tires for my 2011 Nissan Quest. The set of tires came as promised within the delivery window, i was promptly notified as requested by e-mail. I went to my local Meridian, Ms. club and informed the tire department that I was here to pay for the tires and have them mounted.

This is where the trouble began. After charging the tires to my visa, I was told that it would take about an hour. No problem I said that I would do some needed shopping and they would announce when the van was ready. To my total disbelief, the shop employees couldn't figure out how to lift the vehicle without damaging the under side of the car. They called me and said that they couldn't lift my vehicle with the equipment they had to work with. I noticed that they only had a direct hydraulic lift and the scissor lift bay that should be used was not functional and hadn't worked for about two years. The employees said that they were sorry but they didn't feel comfortable for safety reasons to lift the van because they might damage the under side. While, I applaud the the employees in the tire shops caution, it certainly doesn't instill confidence in the process.

I am a Walmart stock holder and try to keep the business within the family if possible. I talked to the store manager and she wrote the scissor was out of service on a note pad. According to the "tire specialist", this lift hadn't worked in almost two years. Don't know if this is true, but consumer experiences like this aren't any fun. Management of the club store fronts and behind the counter must be much more attentive and pleasant or the business will fail.

While I'm in the mood, I would also like to point out that this SAM's Club in Meridian, Ms. needs an in-store bakery, as well as offer diesel fuel at the pumps. Most Club members pay for the privilege of feeling somewhat special but I'm wondering if it is worth it to continue my membership.
