Sams Club - Racial Profiling
I feel as though I was racial profiled at Sam's club in Stapleton in Denver, CO. Went to return a Wii system, set of knives and a crock pot and althought the items were not opened the clerk "Steph" proceeded to open every single item.
I has not seen her do that before as I waited 40 minutes to in line. Also, I asked other employees if I forgot my receipt if they could credit my debit card. They told me that was no PROBLLEM. After my forty minute wait and waiting for her to open every single knife she proceeded to tell me she could only give me a credit to the store.
Of course, I was upset and spoke to the manager "Jim" who was no help and all and was just a rude as the clerk. It saddens me to think a chain store like Sam's feels the need to treat someone because of their appearance.
I know I looked a little shabby but I had just finishing work-out.
I understand policies but I am certain I treated the way I was because of my look rather than policy. If Sam's is going to open all returned merchandise than do it for everyone not just those you choose to judge based on appearance.

You're just being paranoid because of your own insecurity about how you look. Sam's Club associates are supposed to open every returned item to make sure everything is there, every time.
Whoever told you Sam's could put the money back on your debit card was mistaken.
If you don't have a receipt, all you can get back for a return is a Sam's Club gift card. That is company policy.
ITS NOT ON WAT U LOOK LIKE, ITS WAT U BROUGHT BACK, OR WAT OTHER PEOPLE IN THE LINE RETURNED, A WILL SYSTEM HAS TO BE OPENED TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS IN THEIR AND ITS NOT BROKEN, THE KNIFE HAVE TO BE COMPLETE.
