I've purchased BF Goodrich tires at Sams for dozens of vehicles over the last 25 years. I'm detecting a trend.

Sams generally will not rotate tires or repair punctures as part of the road hazard warranty after the tires are four years old, however, they always do attempt to upsell me on a new tire purchase. I purchased BF Goodrich tires with a 60,000 mile warranty. After Four years and three months and 35,000 miles I developed a fast leak in one of the tires. I took the car in to have the tire repaired and have all four rotated.

After Sams held my car hostage for 8 hours, they told me they couldn't repair the one tire or rotate my tires. They claimed the leak was because of 'ozone' or 'dry rot'. There was no cracking whatsoever on the sidewalls. They claimed the warranty doesn't cover 'dry rot' and they advised 'everybody knows that's a problem with BF Goodrich tires".

The tire manager tried to sell me new tires of another brand. He claims tires usually do not last more than four years. Since I own many vehicles with low mileage I have kept some tires as long as 8 - 10 years without dry rotting.

I went to another reputable tire dealer who 'repaired' my tire. It was a 'nail' that caused the leak and they saw no 'dry rot'.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered.
